月世界

Moon World

Lyrics by Sakurai Atsushi
Translation by Lola

Red-yellow sunflowers, orange blossoms, and purple-blue hydrangea (1))

Red-yellow sunflowers, orange blossoms, and purple-blue hydrangea

Adrift on the the waves in the moonlight, unconscious in the moonlight (2)

Alone, I swim through a dark sea

Adrift on the the waves in the moonlight, unconscious in the moonlight

Alone, I would fly through the dark sky, if it meant I could be with you (3)

Red-yellow sunflowers, orange blossoms, and purple-blue hydrangea

Alone, I will swim through this profound darkness, until I can be with you

Red-yellow sunflowers, orange blossoms, and purple-blue hydrangea

Adrift on the the waves in the moonlight, unconscious in the moonlight

Red-yellow sunflowers, orange blossoms, and purple-blue hydrangea

Adrift in the waves

(1) Two things about this line, "橙" can signify orange as a color, orange as a fruit or orange blossoms. I went with blossoms due the rest of the flower imagery here. The second thing regards the color of the hydrangea, "群青", which can be translated as "ultramarine blue" as I had in my previous translation or "navy blue" if you prefer. However, in order to maintain the symmetry from the Japanese to the English throughout the line, I went with "purple-blue" to mirror the beginning of the line with its "red-yellow sunflowers".
(2) "昏睡の中" can not only mean to be unconscious but to be in a coma or a comatose state.
(3) The verb here, "逢える", literally translates as "to be able to meet". But it can also be translated as "be able to see someone" or "be able to get together". It's a fairly versatile word. It differs slightly though from "会える", which is the more common form of "to be able to meet" in that the former kanji is more often used when talking about meeting with someone the speaker is close to. In addition, the kanji used in the lyrics also expresses an inherent sadness and is linked with sympathy or compassion.
(4) A note about the title, which translates to "Moon World". I thought it was worth pointing out that the Moon has a different significance in Japan than it does to Western culture. The appeal of the moon in Japan, is what they say to be the hazy world created by moonlight. It's not the same as the brightness of day nor the deep dark of a moonless night. It's that place in between that draws them. The continuous cycles of the moon was also seen as a symbol for the eternal cycle of life and death. So to me, having a title like "Moon World" implies a sort of place that is in between life and death, the place of transition, either into light or dark.

My Baby Japanese
Lyrics: Sakurai Atsushi
Translation: Lola

My baby Japanese.
M is in a dark suit, a hand placed atop the buttons
Wrapped up in devotion, a magma called desire

The men are beaten down by ignorance and the ladies are hysterical
While the dancing people of the household are tonight, getting a taste of the masquerade

With disheveled red hair slapping her in the face, she dances and dreams in a flower garden
A fabrication of the future beyond tomorrow of a girl that is just searching for an angel

A new drama of a make believe person with a pile of sweet morals
With the power of purification and resurrection raging like a typhoon

Worried about tonight's menu that appears to be the split between her legs
Perhaps the hyenas will get their spoils tonight

In this pure white room, that girl grows hungry even as her nail polish chips and flakes away
With perhaps a bit of soup and a scrap of bread, that girl is just searching for an angel

With disheveled red hair slapping her in the face, she dances and dreams in a flower garden
A fabrication of the future beyond tomorrow of a girl that is just searching for an angel

Tears of Ignorance

Lyrics: Sakurai Atsushi
Translation: Lola

A teddy bear and a pumpkin carriage spin in a slow dance in the show room
Fighter planes fly around the room dancing a slow dance around the child

A machine gun held by a girl, a celluloid girl

Dazzled by diamonds, the puppets are made to dance
As the entire world burns to ash in the flames of justice

Mama where, where are you? The devils are doing a slow dance
And the girl with the pretty hair does not shed tears of ignorance

A girl firing a machine gun in a celluloid slow dance

LOVE & PEACE are torn to pieces by tin plate soldiers that are unleashed
With dangerous toys until that child burns to ash too

A machine gun held in a slow dance, a celluloid slow dance

Dazzled by diamonds, the puppets are made to dance
As the entire world burns to ash in the flames of justice
LOVE & PEACE are torn to pieces by tin plate soldiers that are unleashed
With dangerous toys until that child burns to ash too
